![]() ![]() If memory serves, at least one regular participant in this community has posted a script that will gather the full path to the open file, and may be along later to post it or a ink to it here. The image is copied to the clipboard, and may be pasted from there to where you want, or pasted to where you can transcribe the text into a header box or elsewhere. You can vier a menu showing the full path to the file by pressing command and clicking the displayed file name, but cannot copy the list (except as an image, by placing the pointer near one corner of the list, pressing shift-control-command-4, then dragging the pointer (now displaying as a cross hair symbol) to the opposite corner of the list, and releasing the mouse button when the selection rectangle encloses what you want to copy. This will switch the worksheet to Page Layout view. ![]() Press command-V to paste the filename into the box. Go to the Insert tab > Text group and click the Header & Footer button. Press command-C to copy the name, then click in the document to close that window.Ĭlick in the header or footer box in which you wish to diplay the name.
